The Centre for Creative Learning “ANNAS 2” was established on the 1 st March 1989. It is situated in the very Centre of Riga. With its well-equipped workshops and experienced, creative - minded teachers Centre for Creative Technical Learning occupies a leading position in the field of interest-oriented education in Latvia.

Our mission :

  • To give possibilities to children and young people (aged 6 – 25) to spend their free time actively and creatively in order to develop their individual abilities and talents;
  • To arrange extra – curricular activities for pupils under the guidance of experienced and qualified teachers and instructors;
  • To create the best environment for developing their technical and creative abilities and talents (modelling, technical sports, various arts and crafts);
  • To encourage their deliberate and the most proper choice of profession.

We offer :

  • Workshops: automobile, rocket and plane modelling, technical modelling, electronics, computers, carpentry, sewing, knitting, ceramics;
  • Studios: photo, film, video, animation, drawing, theatre, paper and textile design, digital sound studio;
  • Hobby groups: languages, aerobics, paramedical training, astronomy, arts therapy.

Considerable results have been achieved in each type of those activities as well as victories in world and European championships and local competitions and exhibitions!

Other activities – camps, competitions, international contests, exhibitions, courses, festivals.

Some of those events are popular and well known in Latvia, most of all:

Contest “Superpuika” (Super boy) for 12 and 13 - year - old boys;

“Svçtki Annas ielâ” (Annas Street Festival) at the beginning of school year in September;

Children and Youth Film Festival "2 ANNAS" (www.re-lab.lv/2annas).

A new project Children’s Science Centre “Tehnoannas pagrabi” (Tehnoannas Cellars) has been developed with the aim to popularize exact sciences, to teach children and young people to explore themselves through playing games and their individual experience.
